・車内が立て込んできた. The car was starting to get crowded.
2 〔仕事などに追われている〕 have a lot (of work) to do; have one's hands full; be busy 《with, doing》; be under pressure; be pressed.●急の仕事が立て込んでいる have (a lot of) urgent work to do; be under pressure to deal with unexpected work.
●スケジュールが立て込んでいる. My schedule is full [packed]. | There's no [little] room in my schedule.
・ただ今注文が立て込んでいてこれ以上お引き受けできません. (We regret that) we are fully occupied dealing with current orders and cannot accept any more at present.
・年末にはもっと仕事が立て込む. We will have even more business toward the end of the year.
